…but there is no way the “Establishment” in Washington is going to go down without a fight.
You see, my dear readers, the stock market is the Establishment’s last chance to prove to the American voter (see also “the uneducated masses”) that they are good for America.
By way of blinding stock market rallies, the Establishment is gearing up a six-week barnstorming campaign to point out to you – the John Stewart Generation – that their “policies” and “programs” and “easy money” and “fair but necessary taxes” are the path to American prosperity.
And behold! They will point your attention to the furious stock market rally that began under President Oprah’s thoughtful stewardship and the Treasury and Federal Reserve’s careful attention to detail, as well as the SEC’s willful ignorance. They will wow you with all kinds of razzledazzle that points out unemployment really isn’t all that bad afterall. It’s just a number, right?
By coordinated underground, backhanded, back door wrangling, the powers that be are all on the same page to talk this market up. And they are gonna give it all they got. They may not win against Mr. Market in the end, but I’m not gonna bet against them. Not now.
Pass the popcorn, Wall Street 2 is on….
