THE DREADED WINTER TRADING DOLDRUMS

As an Independent Trader who works from home in Chicago, I dread the coming months.

We are rapidly closing in on the time of the year when the weather here gets miserable, and soon the temperatures will struggle to break 20 degrees for weeks at a time. For a guy who’s preferred method of exercise is long walks, winter is a struggle.
Since I don’t have any customers or clients, there is rarely a reason to leave the house – and the weather during winter ensures that I don’t. And this can often lead to trading problems. In an effort to feel like I’m “doing” something and to ward off stir-craziness, it is natural for me to want to trade more. Most of you who are regular readers of this blog know how I feel about over-trading.
So what’s a guy to do?
I’m open to any suggestions ;)
