This is the end of this blog as you know it

I’m writing this post on my Droid phone while sitting at Newark airport, waiting to board my flight home to Chicago.

If I were at home, I’d embed an R.E.M. video of the song similarly titled to this blog post. Instead, you’ll have to trudge through sloppy grammar and misspellings likely to be incurred due to difficulty in editing via my smartphone.

Anyway…

I’ve hosted this Minimalist Trader blog faithfully on the Blogger platform since its inception. Coming into this project I was a complete idiot when it came to blogging and website design. I literally had no idea how to do any of this. Luckily, Blogger exists for no-talent schmucks like me. They make blogging easy by providing just enough tools to be dangerous.

Well, danger I did indeed find. And now, I’m ready to attempt an at-bat in the Big Leagues. This weekend, The Minimalist Trader [www.chicagosean.com] will be moving to a new host and built on WordPress. It’ll have a sexy new look, access to greater content, and be exposed to a much larger audience.

In the meantime, you can expect further explorations into trading and investing via a minimalist perspective with new ideas for keeping things simple, smart, and satisfying. And of course, I’ll continue to attempt to entertain you with anecdotes from my own bleeps and blunders along the way.

I’m told the transition should be seemless and subscribers via the RSS feed should experience no change in their subscription to my posts. However, there is always a risk of glitches, so if you don’t hear from me for a while, just check out the website sometime next week to make sure you aren’t missing anything.

Off to catch my flight. See you on the other side.
