Sean McLaughlin – Community Development at StockTwits. Also, former Member of the Chicago Board of Trade who trades his own account in Boulder, Colorado.
I’ve worked at prop firms, started and ran a small hedge fund, was a member of the Chicago Board of Trade, and have learned – the hard way – to seek simpler ways of trading, investing, communicating, and living.
Born in Buffalo, NY, I began trading markets during the tail end of the internet stock bubble in 1998. I’ve since spent the better part of my trading career unlearning all the things I absorbed in my first few formative years of high volume, high velocity stock scalping.
These days, I’m on a journey to make my trading and investing as simple as possible and to evangelize the use of social media and StockTwits for Learning, Discovery, Idea Generation, Networking, and Investor Relations. This blog documents my efforts and shares my ongoing story with you. I don’t have all the answers. In fact, I don’t even know all the right questions to ask. But hopefully we’ll learn something together.
It is my hope that readers will find inspiration and ideas here, and become motivated to participate in the discussion.
